Your Own House Dressing
Makes:
1 cup (8 2-tablespoon servings)
Prep: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 1/3 cupred wine vinegar
- 1/3 cupbuttermilk
- 2 tablespoonscoarse-grain brown mustard
- 1 tablespoonsnipped fresh tarragon or basil
- 2 clovesgarlic, minced
- 1 teaspooncoarse salt
- 1/2 teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper
- 1/3 cupextra virgin olive oil
Directions
In a blender combine red wine vinegar, buttermilk, mustard, tarragon, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Cover and blend until combined. With the blender running, slowly add oil in a thin steady stream. Continue blending until mixture reaches desired consistency.
Serve immediately or cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Shake well before serving
